Why Your Support Matters

  • Advocacy for Home Educators
NCHENZ represents the interests of homeschooling families in discussions with the Ministry of Education, ensuring that their rights and needs are acknowledged and protected.

  • Resource Development
Your contributions enable the creation and distribution of valuable resources, such as guides on getting started with homeschooling, exemption applications, and record-keeping ideas, all designed to support families on their educational journey.

  • Community Building
Donations help maintain and expand networks that connect homeschooling families, fostering a sense of community through local groups, online networking, and events.

  • Support for Special Education
NCHENZ provides resources and guidance tailored for families homeschooling children with special educational needs, ensuring inclusive support for diverse learning requirements.

  • Legal Guidance
The organisation offers information on homeschooling laws, compliance, and audits, assisting families in navigating legal aspects confidently.

  • Volunteer-Driven Initiatives
Operated entirely by dedicated volunteers, NCHENZ relies on donations to sustain its operations and continue offering essential services to the homeschooling community.

Make a Difference

Membership to the National Council is free and has been for many years so that the organisation is available to every NZ home educator - but we do rely on donations to keep the [virtual] lights on.

If you are in a position to make a donation please consider doing so.

We suggest $25-$50/family per year.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
