11-14 April, Auckland, open to all highschool students
Get in quick – registrations close 14 March!
AYD is one of UN Youth New Zealand‘s flagship conferences – aiming to provide rangatahi with both the opportunity to be heard and the tools to make change in their communities.
Participants will work in rōpū (committee groups) – ranging from Foreign Affairs to the Environment – discussing key issues facing Aotearoa. They will then work together to collaborate and come to creative solutions. Each rōpū’s policies will be recorded in the Youth Declaration, a document that is distributed to decision-makers (including MPs, local councils and board members) all across the country.
We encourage students to apply for a scholarship to cover the cost of registration for the conference. We also run a ‘Regional Delegation’ programme to provide accommodation for students from outside of Auckland.
